Quadrifoglio 2000
Quadrifoglio. 2000 VIDEO PROJECTION, SOUND, B&W, 7`58“. Sound by Tiago Miranda
With clear references to film noir, “Quadrifoglio” is a film with a four-stroke rhythm – “Personally like everyone else”; “The Affair”; “Rendez-vous” and “Ascenseur” – where the artist places himself in brief narratives alluding to particular fetishes in the history of cinema, such as the image of a spirit leaving his body and looking at himself at the moment of death. Subtly hinting at some of what are frequent leitmotifs in his work, the artist delves on the idea of inner contemplation, correspondence within oneself, temporal dissolution and solitude.
